Little Bear’s Story

Little Bear, a 70-lb pittie mix, spent over 150 days at the Queens Animal Care Center (ACC) before we welcomed him into our foster home in May 2025. Friendly, house-trained, and eager to please, he quickly became a foster favorite. We worked on enrichment, training, and plenty of exercise to channel his high energy, and he learned new commands in minutes.

After an “almost” adoption fell through, Little Bear’s perfect match arrived—a family who drove from Massachusetts to bring him home. Now, he enjoys a big backyard, hiking adventures, and a dog sibling to play with. His story is a reminder that fostering saves lives, pittie stereotypes are outdated, and every dog has unique needs worth meeting.

Casper’s Story

Casper was our very first foster dog, and the reason Brooklyn Foster Club exists. He was sweet, snuggly, and full of quirks, but also came with challenges like leash reactivity and acid reflux. Over 10 months, we worked through it all: training setbacks, health concerns, almost-adopters, and countless blankets. This is the full story of the dog who changed everything, the lessons he taught me, and the home he waited so patiently for.
